Well, i was just going to clean some stuff up with onyx and it said my hd needed too be repaired, so i started up disk utility to see exaclty and got this gnarly error message.

    What should i do?

    bring it too apple?

Insert the leopard disk and do a repair from there

back up my hard drive? lol

no need to be too dramatic just yet.
do a repair permissions and repair disk. If this doesn't fix the issue then back up your hard drive (eg Timemachine)
You could then do a clean install but first make sure you do a full format and erase free space on the drive to ensure that all sectors are wiped clean. (use your instal DVD to do this)
If your still having issues then consider going back to apple for a replacement.

But is more than likely that those first 2 things will fix your issues.

    good luck

You won't need your leopard disk to do the first two options... just run them from disk utility while your up and running in OSx.
If problems persist and your not able to fix the errors then it could be a sign that your drive is failing, in which case being out of warranty, a trip to apple is going to be of little help/possibly more costly then replacing the drive yourself.. although on the older mbp this is alittle more difficult.
