I don't expect Rogers to do anything about their price plans. They'll gouge their customers and end up driving a lot of them away before finally realizing that their iPhone prices were completely wrong!
It's the monopolistic mentality.......you'll do it our way, or you'll do it our way.

On the one hand, I'm annoyed at how poorly my Pearl syncs with OSX, but on the other, the monthly price for the Pearl is a lot lower than that of the iPhone. I'd love to GET an iPhone, but just can't justify the price. Maybe if Rogers gets more reasonable rates I'll roll my partner over to the Blackberry (which syncs perfectly with Windows) and I'll move to iPhone, but only on the condition of better rates.
Given Rogers' history of price gouging, I'm guessing I'll be on the BB for quite a while yet *grin* -
The thing that no one seems to be mentioning though, is buying out of the plan. I guess theres no figures yet on how much that would be, but itd definitely be cheaper then getting an iphone on the actual plan.

Sucky plans

Yeah me too. Even if I won't use that much 6gigs. The most I have ever used with my BB is about 800 megs. But I never surf the web much on it.

BUT! You only get that deal if you get your iphone before August 31st. So if you can't get it before, you are still screwed.
-
Isn't it still, the expensive base amount + 30$ optional for 6gb data?
If anything they're just taking more money from us? -
-
Hmmm now we should start a petition to get rid of the stupid and pointless system access fee, that is just a scam.

I was at Eaton center today, the iPhone got sold out in just 2.5 hours at Rogers and Fido outlet there, boy is Apple pissed at Rogers!
The Rogers and Fido's outlets at Eaton are one of the biggest in the city, the stores opened at 9am and iPhone got out of stock at 11:30am. -
Its amazing, I think all over the world its selling out. Did Apple not put in enough stock or are they deliberately generating demand? Hmmm .

How do you know that those boxes aren't those empty boxes just used for display? And, why didn't you pick me up one!?!? -

Haha... London's Regent Street was CRAZY filled... but then the O2 system shut down.. o.o so noone's been able to activate their new iPhones... lots of mad people.

Didn't the original iPhone and the iPod Touch go through the same screen issue? One would think apple would have learnt their lesson the first time.
