I just had the logic board replaced on my macbook pro. However now its not seeing the left fan. The problem is that it is defaulting to 6000 rpm and kinda annoying. At first I thought it was being caused by SMC fan control complaining about the new logic board, but the fan spins up to max speed as soon as I touch the power button, well before any software has a chance to boot up. I tried resetting the pram and that didn't help either. In the meantime, wear headphones?
