    Anyone know of one? I know about g4fancontrol, but I'm looking for basically a free version of that. Thanks!

    If its a universal app, thats great, but afaik the fan control apps are all specific to powerpc or intel.

    Hmm, I'm using 0.5 on leopard to great effect. And it's free.

    Not a direct answer to your question, but I use undervolting so that the fan does not even switch on. Undervolting on a Mac can be done with Coolbook.

    As a bonus you get better battery life too.

    CoolBook unfortunately is only for Intel based Macs and will not work for PowerPc machines. I got a hold of a 12" PowerBook that I would like to undervolt or control the fans of this great little machine.
