I have this Air I want to do a factory restore on. The Air doesn't seem to come with any media. When I do the restore on it from the recovery partition, it re-installs the OS, but keeps everything else. How can I wipe the drive and do a fresh install? Thanks for any help.

Boot into the recovery partition, and run the disk utility to format the drive,

then do the install of OS and it will be a factory state. ;)

Right. The Air has a ~600MB partition (as do all Mac's that come pre-installed with Lion) that contains the Disk Utility and a few other things. Re-installilng OS X Lion will require an internet connection though as the setup process will have to download it all over again. The whole thing is pretty painless though.

Thanks. I'll give it a whirl. I did see that on another site, but I just wanted to confirm with the Macophiles.
