I cannot get my external monitor to match the MBP's screen resolution while in Vista. Can anyone tell me how to do this? It is really annoying, especially because I bought a 1440x900 external in order to match the resolution. The external monitor seems to be able to not go any higher than 1024x768 while in Vista. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure. Sounds like a driver issue though.

Are you using Bootcamp or Parallels/VMWare?

    Thats probably why.
Last I checked, the BC drivers only supported XP. Did you download and install your own set of drivers for the video card?

I believe most people download their own drivers at www.laptopvideo2go.com.

Which model MBP do you have? Do you have a 2.2/2.4GHz Model with 8600m GT? If so you could try: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/vista

Make sure you read the QuickStart Guide & Installation Instructions.

Try either 162.18 or 163.44 drivers <-- best alternatives to Boot Camp 101.34 drivers in my opinion.

Edit: Though I have no clue whether or not they will remedy this issue. I do know that some other drivers, 158.xx, will not work at all and give you the Infinite Loop Error. Please let us know what happens.

I have the 2.4GHz with the 8600M GT. I'll download the drivers and let you know how it goes.
