Yes, I know that the Macbook isn't meant to be a lean, mean, gaming machine, but is there any chance that there's an external GPU somewhere to improve performance?
Also, I asked this before but I got different answers - my desktop has a 8500 GT, 512 MB. The Macbook has a 9400m and DDR3 RAM since it takes it from the system RAM. The Macbook probably (but hopefully not) performs worse than the 8500GT, but by how much? Maybe the members could estimate a percentage. I ask this because my current computer has trouble playing TF2 even though I have a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and 3GB of 667MHz DDR2 RAM at medium settings, but I keep hearing that people can play TF2 at all max, native resolution on their Macbooks. Maybe I'm doing something wrong on my current desktop, lol.

NO,no chance of external GPU.
Notebook 9600gt performs the same as Desktop 9500gt,so 9400gt on macbook is much weaker.
And yes, your desktop should mac TF2-you are doing something wrong -
If you want to game, you're still better off picking up a Macbook Pro. Well over twice as powerful in games (though the better integrated graphics in the Macbook versus the old ones is still a nice upgrade!)

^it is more then 3x more powerful
