    External Drive+DVD Player issues with Optibay? EASY FIX!

    There's a script that will switch between internal and external drive with one click. Works tremendously well with me for Snow Leopard. Good for those that Optibay and use an external but DVD Player wont work for (valid dvd drive could not be found error 70012)

    or you can use VLC to play DVDs and it works fine from external.

    That too, but some people like native support and claim VLC is sluggish.

    I used VLC for years, but I'm a big fan of Movist now. it properly full screens windows on the tv while still leaving functionality on the laptop monitor without a black screen. Also, if a movie is split into 2 or more avis, it'll automatically play the next one in succession in the folder. Great for two part movies and especially if you watch a lot of episodes of something back to back and don't want to get up from the couch :)

    Also, as a side note, the progress bar is embedded in the window.
