    hey there,

I'm thinking about getting the Elgato hybrid for my iMac and Macbook. I'm wondering, is it possible to be able to share it over a wireless/lan network.

My idea is: Connecting the Elgato to a wireless router or sharing the Elgato off one of the macs. In doing so, installing eyetv 3 on both macs so both macs are able to watch TV. I guess its really impossible for both computers to be able to watch too different channel simultaneously...

Any ideas? - Thanks in advance,

    Regards,
    James

I really don't think it would be possible. Elgato would put some kind of software/firmware on it so that you can't use it on more than one computer at a time. If it's installed on one computer, you can't install it on another without it being uninstalled from the other computer. If people were able to share it over a network, the people would take advantage of it and not buy more than one of them and therefore Elgato would loose profits. ;) So the simple answer is no. ;)
