I recently moved. I bought a MBP 17 on Ebay. I had previously changed my Paypal address as well as my "regular address" on Ebay. Think that would be enough, right? Wrong. Notwithstanding that sellers often say they will only mail something to the Paypal address, and payment is processed through Paypal, the critical address is neither your Paypal address nor the regular Ebay address, but instead the Ebay "ship to" address. You guessed it. I had not changed that (or even knew it existed), but is was the address given through, oddly, the Paypal process to the seller. So off my computer went to an old address, about 2500 miles from where I currently live. Keep your fingers crossed I actually get my MBP 17. I think I have the matter handled. But before you buy anything through Ebay, check your ship to address.

I was also a little unlucky, because I also emailed the seller the right address not long after I made the payment. In my experience, it takes a while for the payment to process, and takes a little while longer for the seller to ship. In this case from when I paid to shipment was perhaps 3 hours, and the seller did not see my email before he shipped. What are the odds?

I'd e-mail the shipper as they are the only ones who can really do anything in this situation.

Maybe call your old house to warn an incoming package?? er...

To my knowledge it will only be forwarded if you contact the residents at the old house, or the shipping company.
