sorry wasn't sure whether to put this under Apple or Gaming.
So a month or so ago EA announced it was going to release a bunch of games in july for mac. Well being that it is now august I was wondering if anyone knew if they have been released (cuz i can't find them, particularly battlefield 2142) or if they haven't been released when they/it will be, thx

I am also waiting for B2142 I don't think it is out yet -

The announcement was definitely that the games would be released in august, not july.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour
Madden 2008
Harry Potter
Need for Speed Carbon
Battlefield 2142
Command and Conquer 3
iD software is also bringing their new game to the mac platform, without cider (a wine like wrapper that EA is using to bring the above games to mac)
also, Gears of war and ut3 are coming to the mac. i doubt that either uses cider, but i could be wrong.
no word on when gears of war, ut3, or the next iD game will be available on osx. -

Macbook with a GMA950? Not much chance for C&C3. It already runs badly in bootcamp and windows XP I would think. The mac version will be even slower because it is ported and not developed for mac.
BF 2142 is the same I think.
I have Call of Duty 2 for OS X and it runs will on my SR Macbook pro but I cant max out the settings like I can in windows. -

if you can't run it on the gma in windows, you won't be able to suddenly on the mac.
its possible you could play tiger woods or madden depending on the scalability of those games. im not sure. possibly harry potter also, since those games should target more casual gamers.
battlefield 2142 is a stretch, ut3 and gears are almost guaranteed not to run. apparently a 6600 / x700 is the minimum entry. iD software's next gen game could be anything. most likely it will need a dedicated gpu.
i don't really know where need for speed stands.
EA Games (Battlefield 2142 etc) for Mac
