No, it doesn't, the thing was, from my perspective at least, Apple decided to use the summer Back-to-School sales to get rid of previous inventory, and they also decided that September was best used to deliver new iPods first before new Mac notebooks. So everyone is predicting that October will be for new Macs!

Rumors are that even the next iteration of MacBooks will not use Montevina but will use an exclusive board designed for Apple.

The specs will probably be the same as Montevina though: 1066MHz, ABGN, Penryn, etc.

There is some new speculation via the internetz(i think on engadget or gizmodo) that further confirms previous assumptions that all the macbooks will be aluminum, and there will simply be a 13, 15, and 17 inch macbook...

The recent rumor about nvidia chips being in the macbooks furthers this speculation.

So, anyways, expect in the new macbooks(according to the rumors:

    - Aluminum enclosures
    - Geforce 9200/9300 GPUs
    - Centrino 2-esque(45nm C2D, ABGN chipset, etc.) features

I highly highly doubt apple will make it smaller...just to make sure that MBA sales aren't canabalized.

There's a few reasons why Apple would go with Nvidia integrated chipsets. Nvidia is smaller and willing to sit down with Apple and listen to them more.

It's no secret that Intel's integrated graphics sucks balls compared to Nvidia.

Nvidia has a bunch of integrated solutions that outperforms Intel and at much better pricing, which would appeal to Apple even more to get hardware cost down and keep their retail prices the same.

I am against going aluminum for the entire macbook family. Atleast the entry model should be plastic or magnesium like the Thinkpads.
