    I know heat is an is an issue with laptops an I was wondering how hot the Mac book pro runs.

    Well, it can get uncomfortable if you're putting it on your lap wearing shorts, but otherwise the Macs are okay (you should use it on a desk anyways, as with all modern notebooks). Its definitely not hot enough to damage anything.

    They get pretty hot when you're doing something like playing games. Not hot enough to hurt you, but it'll make you uncomfortable if it's on your lap. That's why apple calls them "notebooks" and not "laptops". They're definatley built to withstand it though.
