This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Dock using 100% CPU?!?!

    So ever since I updated to 10.6.8, my device has been running hotter and subsequently fans turning on even at idle. I've reset SMC, PRAM, Repaired Disk Permissions to no avail.

    Anyone else having this issue?

    Same issue here, it was really irritating for a few days till I found the same solution.
