I've used windows through boot camp succesfully. Anyway it's kinda time consuming to reboot, so could i delete boot camp and install parallels? if i want to use the new coherence mode, do i need boot camp?

Thanks again for answering my dumb newbie questions :p

No, Boot Camp is not necessary to use Parallels (or VMWare, for that matter).

But you may not want to wipe your BootCamp partition until you install Parallels, because it allows you to create a virtual OS from a BootCamp partition, so that should make the transfer more seamless.
