    Cool stuff Nicholie. I just downloaded it. And I have a back-up serial number as I plan to re-install my Mac soon :p.

    I wonder why they would offer DivX Pro for free? Even if its just a few days for promotion.

    Basically because with the emergence of h.264, their codec is starting to become irrelevant. So they want to promote it anyway they can.

    To me Divx is a lot like rar. What's wrong with normal zip? Everyone can open it, it's easy to use. Same with Divx. I know that the compression can be better, but there is something to be said for compatibility.
