Is there a difference in performance between the x1600s whether you purchase the 1.83ghz (128mb x1600) vs the 2.0ghz (256mb x1600) mbp assuming both laptops have say 2.0gigs of ram installed?

I assume the ram difference between the models is due to on-board ram w/ the 2.0ghz model having 256mb on-board but w/ HyperMemory, will they eventually be at par w/ each other? I see that in one review, having just 1.0gig of ram installed increased the performance on the 128mb x1600 significantly, but I understand this is due to HyperMemory in effect.

I'm wondering if on-board memory plays a big role in determining overall gpu performance.

Current apps that require more than 128mb are few and far between. 98% of the time you won't see a performance difference between the 2 gpu's.
