    Hi, are there any differences between the 8600M GT (256MB) of macpro compared to asus g1's 8600m GT?

    Technically the same, but the 8600M GT might be underclocked in the MBP according to at least some reports (although others have tested it and confirms that it jumps to the full stock speeds when 3d apps are in use).
