Im still wondering about integrated vs dedicated graphics...

Did you buy your MPB because you want to play games? I doubt i'll be gaming, i'd just get the MBP as it'll last me longer than the MB, plus it's newer technology...

What was the deciding factor to spend extra on the MBP?

Bigger better screen. Higher resolution mostly.
I do play some games too.

I bought the MBP because it was a light weight, 15.4" notebook, with a lot of power, a good battery life, and OS X. I also bought it because Bootcamp removes any reason not to get a Mac for me... I do play games, and have put HalfLife2 on the laptop, but I haven't wanted to play enough to boot up the Windows partition. :)

if you want to play games, and you want a laptop, and you want that laptop to be an apple laptop, your choices are pretty restricted...

advantages of mbp over the macbook:

larger screen and larger screen resolution: (this increases usefulness but decreases mobility- may actually be a disadvantage to you)

longer battery life: you could actually get 5 hours now if you tried

better keyboard: the keyboards are different - you might actually like the macbook keyboard more. you should try them out. still- the macbook pro keyboard is more professional and desktop like, and the keys light up in the dark.

spec differences: macbook pro accepts more ram; santa rosa means slightly updated, slightly faster parts - not actually the biggest issue. other minor differences.

dedicated gpu: if you want to play 3d games, if you want to watch high definition video, if you need to use 3dsmax or something similar, you pretty much need a dedicated gpu. the macbook pro has the best-in-class gpu available.

i will play some games, but the reason i bought it was for 3dsmax and other gpu intensive programs.
