The 1999 version of the 30 inch DELL LCD has crazy specs and crazy number of connections...my question is would the MBPRO have any trouble connecting to the Dell? I have resolution issues with the 4:3 2001FP I have....it cant seem to fit the screen right. I would assume with a widescreen it would mirror perfectly with no effort, correct?

The standard display you currently have shouldn't be a problem anyway...but of course, the external display will be 4:3, so its not as wide as the MacBook Pro screen, but nothing should be "distorted".

Well, that's not really an issue, its just the way the display was meant to be. But yeah, I prefer widescreen myself!
