I installed Sophos a few days ago, but didn't want to keep it, so I deleted it from the Applications folder. However, the icon remains in the drop down menu "taskbar" location near my Quicksilver icon, Bluetooth, Battery indicator. Is there a way to remove this?

yeah, right click on the start menu, click properties, then go to the startmenu tab, and hit customize. easy from there on!

EDIT: If you're meaning the prgrams on the start menu itself, then jsut right click them and say, remove from this list. dude, it's windows, right click on your problem and it should be easy to find.

    ???

Yoyo1299, you're in the Apple & Mac OS X forum...

Anyways...are you sure you've uninstalled Sophos? Sometimes you can control whether the application shows up on the Menu Bar through that application's Preferences (in Adium, for example).

I don't use Sophos though, so I have no definite answer.

LOL..Since when was I referring to Windows? "Dude", it's Mac OS X.

@Sam. I checked my Applications folder and couldn't locate the Sophos folder. I also tried using Quicksilver to search for any other locations for Sophos and couldn't find it. Also, when I tried to open the Preferences window for Sophos, nothing came up. The icon still remains there.

Also, I tried emptying my Trash with Windows Media Player and it said I couldn't delete it because it was locked. I tried using Secure Empty Trash, but an error message came up with ".htm" was still in use. Any idea what that is about too?
