One of the things I hate about the sidebar in the Finder where it has Network, Macintosh HD, Documents, Desktop, etc. is that those appear to be direct connections to the items themselves rather than just links. I think I may have accidentally dragged the "Untitled" volume that contains Boot Camp into the trash and emptied it. I doubt it did any damage since my XP partition was NTFS which OS X can't write, but I can no longer view the partition. Going to Disc Utility shows the partition but clicking "mount" has no effect. How do I view/remount the Boot Camp partition?

I really wish there was some safety feature in the Finder, since I have actually accidentally dragged the Documents shortcut to the trash and ended up deleting the actual Documents folder. It's just that sometimes when I'm rapidly dragging and dropping files to the trash, the cursor could stray there. I guess this is what Time Machine is for.

EDIT: It seems to be more serious than I thought. Even though OS X can't write to NTFS, Disc Utility Info said that the volume is no longer bootable and Startup Disk no longer sees it. I can still boot to XP manually by pressing option on startup, but Startup Disk on the XP side seems to freeze when I use it though.
