    ...Between Apple Powerbook and iBook. I'm an economics student and i am moving to study in a bigger city and since my desktop computer will stay at home, i will most definitely buy a laptop. I am a PC user, and I know how to get the most out of computers. To CTC, i know business. :rolleyes:

    But, since Apple is poorly representated in my country, i used a Mac only one time in my life (and that was G4 14" iBook in the apple store) so i must admit i'm not up to date in this area. I got an impression that PC's and Mac's are somewhat compatible and the main area i'm concerned about is documents (office, media...) so i hope i'm right. Ok, so let's say that i have decided (I have actually) i will buy a Mac.

    The question is: Will it be A 14inch iBook or 15inch Powerbook?

    Have in mind that i have worked a whole year as a waiter and still i'm 400$ short on buying a Powerbook which costs four times more than an average monthly salary is in my country (400$ isn't a problem, i'm just giving you a picture of economy in my country). I'm not a game die-hard fan, but every now and then i play NFS so 3D performance is not primary. The problem is that I am used to high system performance, and I'm expecting from my laptop to have one. As I said, I'm a student and my primary use of this laptop will be text processing and tables. My hobbies are music and multimedia so Native Instuments and Adobe take a big part of my disk, so it would be great if my laptop would do stunts too :)

    hmmm [IMG]
    let me edit the question:
    Is it worth to pay a little less than 1000$ more for the powerbook?

    Personally for me I would say no. You can get a PC notebook with a much better card for less. Office documents are interchangeable in PC/Mac.

    lol u worked soo hard for ur money, apple its a "luxury" brand. some laptops on the 1200 pricerange will overpower the book for a looot. but it would not be as "luxurious"
