And it will continue to be a mystery until Apple decides to announce their plans.

theres a possiblity they left out...

Low end machines that use the 9400M now will stay Core 2 Duos and 9400M... everything that has a real GPU in it now goes to intel chipsets and i5/i7 with a dedicated GPU... with no machine having switchable graphics.

so Mac Mini, low end iMac, and Macbook, and sadly probably the Macbook Pro 13" will be Core 2 Duos and Geforce 9400...
Macbook Pro 15 and 17, higher end iMacs will have Intel chipsets back, Core i5/i7, and dedicated GPUs only.

I find this the most likely scenario. It alredy its in line with what they've done with Mac pro and iMac

Currently the difference between a pro 13" and unibody plastic 13" is an SD slot, a port or 2, the case. It would be a perfect time upgrade the 13" to i5/ATI (a lower GPU then the 15" or 17", but equal or better then the 9400m) and make a huge difference in the pro/unibody thing.

that would be great... I wasn't listing what I wanted them to do, just what I thought they would most likely do. Historically the smaller laptops are always less powered. the 13" macbook pro.. the powerbook 12"ers... always much less in CPU and GPU than the bigger models. It would be nice if they put a decent lower end GPU in there, but I just find it unlikely... unless they get a bunch of 9400M separate GPUs running off the PCIe bus to use.

It's all Intel's fault anyway. But I think they'd eye for the 9400M's successor...MCP89 chipset.

i heard that apple will probably use some customised cpu like intel produces for the macbook air. supposedly, intel will produce the cpu without the gpu for apple.

I've heard that every new MacBook is going to come without a keyboard, but they're going to include a brain interface! You simply have to think about what you want to do and it will happen on the screen. Think about typing a letter, and it will happen. Think about moving the cursor around the screen, and it will happen.

The only problem left to be worked out is an unfortunate side effect of the interface. Whenever you fart, the CD/DVD gets ejected, even if it's in use!

That would certainly be consistent with the rumor that the next iPod Shuffle will be a cochlear implant with a transdermal RF iTunes and charging interface.

You're confusing the shuffle with the new Apple hearing aid called the iHearAgain. The can also be used as BT headphones.

there are already hearing aides with bluetooth that can connect to phones and other devices.... If i had the money or better healthcare I'd have some.
