it's almost been a year since I bought my mac book pro 15" and now I'm having my first problem: there's something wrong on my DVD-ROM!
sometimes it couldn't recognize any DVD and even when it read, there's a missing files that can't be read (I tried it couples of time)
some friend of mine said it was the dirt on the optic that makes it can't work properly
have anybody experienced this problem or it just my mac? any solution?
    desperately need help here

What brand DVD drive does it have?

I'm on my third Mata UJ-868 in a 10 months old 15" Unibody MBP and started playing up again.
The quality on these drives is terrible.
