Ey I have a friend with a Powerbook G4 and he has a super drive but isn't able to use it because he doesn't know of any DVD burning mac software. Would you guys mind suggesting some good ones? If you guys could suggest some good freeware as well that would be awesome. Thanks in advance! :D

For simple tasks (such as burning a bunch of files onto blank media----that is, nothing involving authoring of any sort) all you have to do is to create a "New Burn Folder" (secondary click somewhere within Finder), drag the files you want to copy on that folder, and then hit burn in the upper right corner of the window. You can then select speed options, etc.

Files dragged onto a "Burn Folder" are not really copied; all that happens is that a bunch of aliases is created----so this won't take up unnecessary space on your drive, and when you're finished you can just delete the "Burn Folder".

For more options, etc., here's an opensource program:
    http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net/

For dvd-authoring and then burning, you can use iDVD, of course.

i thought you just create a new "burn" folder; drop the file/s you want to burn and, press burn..

there is a program called "toast" from Roxio; if you want more advance feature.

    what OS is he running?

Yes, with Disk Utility you can create and burn disk images.

This utility helps you create exact copies of discs into image files of various sorts: http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html
