    Sorry, didn't see the Mac.

DOS is an old operating system that was the basis for Windows.

you are on a macbook pro. what operating system are you using currently?

if you are in windows (in bootcamp) then this needs to be moved to the windows forum. this type of thing is not an apple issue.

if something like that came up in osx, then something really weird is going on. more explanation is required.

The program is for Windows, and you're in OS X. So the program won't work.
You can see if the mouse will work without the program, but I don't know. But since it's a USB mouse, you can probably just plug it in and forget about the program I would think.

Does it not work when you plug in the usb dongle and turn on the mouse?

If anything, see if the companies website has drivers for OSX.

You should never need a driver for a mouse. Plug it in. If it works fine. If it doesn't work, get rid of it and find a mouse that does NOT NEED ANY DRIVERS.

You should (almost) never run an exe file on a Mac and certainly not for a driver. The only exe files I run on my Mac are self extracting zip archives where the company was too thoughtless to provide a non-windows way to get the contents. They can be run under Parallels or Bootcamp but I'd rather not allocate that much of my Mac to running Windows. I use Crossover, which is not free but does offer a way to run a few Windows programs without actually having a Windows license.

Hope you didn't put that mini-CD into your MBP! :p

BTW, in the future you should use the Grab application to take a screenshot instead of going through the hassle of taking pics and uploading them! I believe the short-cut to take a pic of a window is shift+apple+4 then space. Then click on the window to save the image.

Dos is similar to Mac OS Terminal environment.

Dos was very popular for Microoft before Windows Evironment Technology became available by Apple Mac. Microsoft saw this as the future so they borrowed Apple's idea and made it their Windows 3.1 and so forth till this very day the Windows Vista was given birth to.
