I'm about to delve into the world of Mac OS by buying a 12" inch iBook, and I am wondering, is it possible to swap out the hard drive yourself? I have a 60gb 5400RPM drive that I want to utilize.

I know that you can upgrade the memory yourself, but I haven't seen a tutorial for a hard drive upgrade on apple.com

Thats because it voids your warranty, you have to take the caseing apart to put it in, there is no "Easy" way to do it. Mac Addict had an article w/ Instructions but I forgot which issue it was.

Just hang on to the old hard drive and throw it back in if you need to send it in for service.
