Does anyone have the Crucial Real C300 SSD installed in their MBP13 (April 2010 Edition)? I intend to swap my current hard-drive to it but wanted to know the following:
* Any potential problems with running SSD using OS X? (I know it doesn't support TRIM)
* Any benefit in battery life?
* Average life of the drive before it bites the dust? I know it's hard to tell but is it feasible to expect SSD drives to last more than 2 years or so?

2. Yes, there is some benefit, but not all SSDs are created equally in this regard. I have an OCZ Vertex 2 and my battery life is slightly better than my 5400 drive I had in here before. It's definitely significantly better than a 7200RPM drive.
3. It's hard to tell at this point, as the technology hasn't been this cheap long enough for many ordinary folks to test them thoroughly. I would suspect at least 3-5 years with ordinary usage should be completely feasible, at the very least. -
I have a Vertex 2 - but no problems with an SSD at all....
