    Hey guys,

I just had a couple of questions surrounding Boot Camping:

    1. Is it possible to boot-camp and run VM on an upgrade version of Windows 7 onto my Mac? Will I run into any hurdles that I should know about if I don't have a legal working copy of XP/Vista?

    2. Also, will I be able to join my school's network with Snow Leopard? I know that Win7 Home Premium doesn't allow it while Win7 Pro does.

legally you cannot run an upgrade version without really having a version to upgrade from. Technically yes you can install an upgrade and make a few changes so that activation will work... there are how to's all over the web. Its very useful, I've done it myself cuz I didn't want to have to install Vista again just to do an upgrade.

more than likely... you should be able to (depending on what your school has set up, you need to ask them). OSX doesn't have restrictions put in place like Windows. All versions of Windows are "Ultimate" then they charge you less by disabling some things... like Home Premium cannot join domains. Mac OS X has everything in it, nothing stripped out like lesser versions of Windows.
