I just got a new 15" 2.4ghz MBP and have just two slightly annoying issues...

    1. The display release button is a pain to use. To actually get it to release the screen, I have to press VERY hard on both the extreme left and right sides. Basically I have to grab the back of the computer with one hand, then with two fingers of the other press in both corners of the button till the display pops free. Anyone else have this problem?

    2. The lower right hand corner of the trackpad is, for lack of a better word, peeling up. Its visibily higher then the surrounding frame, and is very annoying feeling my finger grab on it. The rest of the trackpad is very slightly countersunk below the rest of the frame.

Keep in mind, this is on a brand new machine. Is this stuff to be expected just like the slightly warped LCD lid issue? Or should I take it in to have it checked out? These are issues I didn't expect to see on a $2500 machine...

    Thanks!

I dont think these two issues are regular at all. Havent faced them on my MBP. Probably you should take it to a Apple Store and get it checked and maybe replaced.

Doesn't sound right to me but I'm no Apple Genius. Any chance of a picture too?

Doesn't sound good. Take it to the Apple Store and talk to the Geniuses there.
