I need a notebook VERY soon, and I can't really wiat if I don't have to me. My major concern is 32-bit versus 64-bit. Now I know alot of application won't be 64-bit yet, and even if they are, I don't think I'd be using it. I mainly just do surfing, word processing and photoshopping.

I am, however, concerned about running the next generation OS on the 2.0Ghz Macbook. The next gen OS are 64-bit based, and I am worried if the Macbook cannot use them efficiently, as I WILL be using them.

So is fine to run Vista and Leopard with a 32-bit processor?

    Thanks for the help.

Apple states on their site that the new Leopard system will run just fine on the 32 bith processors. Here is a decent article on what is so important about the 64 bit Leopard and why its not something to get all worked up about

To say they are 64-bit based is not entirely accurate. What they are doing is shipping 32-bit and 64-bit side by side. There are no real differences aside from the advantages/disadvantages of each.
