Im looking for a good notebook cooler for my MacBook Pro 13 (2010 Model).
I dont want something too expensive, as I wouldnt be using it all the time - only when Im editing video and compiling etc, or when Im encoding - since thats when the system really heats up. At all other times its cool to the touch.

    Any recommendations?

I have several coolers and they all basically do nothing on my MBP13" ... just make sure your on a flat hard surface, and use SMCfancontrol and its the best cooling I've been able to find.

Isn't there a pad that you put under the macbook and it withdraws heat from the mac? Think I saw something like that a week ago on here

there is this thing.. but I don't have a clue how good or if it works that great...

    Thermaltakeusa»Cooler»Notebook Cooler»iXoft : iXoft R15ON01

from how they say it works.. to me it seems like it would work for awhile but eventually stop cooling until it has time to cool off... but I've never used one

My friend has one he uses with is Studio 1737, and he says it keeps the outside cooler. I didn't buy one because I think with a Macbook, it would block the bottom of the hinge where hot air is blown out. Last night, I used a Titan G4TZ, and it dropped my temps by a few C internally and the case was much cooler. They're very expansive though, $65 on eBay.
