Hey I just received my Macbook this Friday and purchased a DVI adapter alone with it. So my problem is that when I connect my T.V to my laptop (my T.V. does support DVI) the T.V. recieves the signal but only displays the desktop. Is doesn't show any apps that I open such as pages. So is this normal, or is there something I have to do to make it show what I have opened.

This is my only problem so far and I am loving my macbook.

    Thanks

Press F7. If that doesn't work, press it again, or try Fn+F7. Alternatively, you could go to System Pref>Displays.
