I am worried about my late 2007 SR MBP's battery. I use iStatPro to monitor all of that and for quite sometime my "Battery Health" has been fluctuating.

Perhaps someone can explain why it will say 65% one day and 57% the next?

Also, why is my battery health so low? It is 14 months old and has 158 charges.

Is this an issue that I need to see Apple for?

    Thanks.

You might want to talk to Apple about this. Someone had a similar problem earlier, and Apple replaced the battery at no charge.

yep get it replaced, you are probably out of warranty though, although i was as well when i got mine replaced. there is something on the apple website that says you can expect 80% battery health after ~200 cycles, which is good to mention to apple when you're talking to them.

The battery health is really bad for 150 cycles, definitely talk to Apple and get it replaced!

Thanks guys. I have AppleCare, so I should be given what ever I wish. (Or it should be that way!)

What's to say the next battery won't be the same? Is it possible it's my computer?

I would just take care of the battery issue first. Since you have AppleCare, any upcoming issues should be moot, keep an eye on it and see

    cheers ...

I've just bought a MacBook from a buddy of mine, and this battery wont hold a charge past 2 hours. Cycle count is at 221, and Coconut battery now tells me it will only hold 44% of its maximum charge; I picked it up Saturday and the maximum at that time was 57%. This things out of warranty, so I doubt they'd replace it, but I might just take it to an Apple store to see what they say. All else fails, I'll just buy another battery
