    Hey.

I have a problem with my MBP LED Screen and its colours.
I tried calibrating, but I've noticed everything has a bluish tint and I didnt like it, so I went back to the original colour settings, but it doesnt look the same. I type in something in Google Images, and it all has a monotone to it. They all look quite grainy also.

    Please help!

well, I'd reset them and instead of trying to "eyeball it", I'd strongly recommend you pick up a Eye-One Display LT.

it's a sensor that sits on your display and calibrates your colors in about 3 minutes. it'll make all the difference and is more than worth the $150 price of admission if you care about color accuracy.

best part is you can use it to calibrate every computer in the house and your HDTV as well.

Don't waste 150 bucks on that. I hope he wasn't serious. Anyway, just eyeball it. I don't use a Mac so someone else will have to chime in with a free program to calibrate. I know there are plenty for Windows, but they probably won't work on OS X. Is the default really that bad?

Waste is a very subjective word :p. I would say for the regular everyday person, no, calibration to that level is not necessary, but for people who are graphic artists and the like, spending that cost is nothing for getting the exact right colour and hue on their work!

150 bucks is ridiculous. I'm sure I could find a free solution if I cared to look, even with the much smaller program library with OS X. Or at least a much cheaper alternative.

No, I agree there are many free and low-cost solutions out there, but for professionals the $150 is actually very reasonable for the purposes of their work, that's the point I was trying to get at!

I just didn't think it was good advice to tell someone to purchase very expensive software when he doesn't need to, and when a free solution would do the exact same thing.

Well a lot of the big box store carry similar ones, so you could always buy it and return it >_>

Just say it didn't work ;p
