Since the moment I pulled my MBP 13" out of the box about a month and a half ago, I've had the Moshi Clearguard protecting the keyboard. I know this product tends to get cloudy with use, but mine is only lasting about a day between cleanings before it starts to get cloudy again. By the end of the week my keys are basically gray. The cloudiness cleans off fine, but it's annoying that it gets cloudy so quickly. It seems like the cloudiness is on the underside of the keys... so is there some sort of residue on the keyboard from the manufacturing process that is affecting the cloudiness of the keys?

Have you use detergent to clean it , as soap and other products that contain oil can damage silicon and other types of rubber.

I just use hot water, and it sterilize i use milton tablets, they used to clean baby's bottles, you can buy similar products.

The perpetual cloudiness has been observed since I first placed the Clearguard on my laptop (when I took it out of the box about a month and a half ago). I do use dishwashing soap (just a dab on a damp towel) to clean the Clearguard and it comes out pretty much new-looking when I'm done. Is your cloudiness on the top or bottom or both of the guard, and how frequently do you clean it?

I just wash it once a week in hand hot water and leave it to dry overnight, and it is exactly the same as when i bought it.

Dont use any normal house hold disinfectant, to sterilize it either as that will damage it also, just use the tables i mentioned above.

It might seem weird to use baby tables but they work.

My Moshi Clearguard does the same thing. I usually just wash it in water and dishwashing soap and let it try off. My cloudiness seems to be from the bottom of my guard. I've only done it once since i first bought it 3 months ago.
