Whenever I log into OS X my clock is always 8 hours behind. I set the clock and time zone and push the little lock thing so it cant be changed but it does every time on its own...

When I boot into Vista via bootcamp the clock is correct.

Can someone help me solve this very annoying problem?

    Thanks!

Whats interesting is the clock in the upper right corner is 8 hours behind each time i boot into OS X but if i open up clock settings it immediately changes it to the correct time...then i close clock settings and its correct in the upper right too....

what is going on? I dont want to open clock settings each time I boot up...it should just be correct.

I believe this has something to do with the way bootcamp emulates a pc's bios in order to run Windows. In a bios controlled motherboard, the OS usually has the time set by the motherbard. I believe that on a Mac its strictly controlled by the OS. Thats why it's correct when you boot into Windows, then has to be corrected by OSX when you boot back into it. I ran across this when running a hacked version on a regular pc. I may be a little off on this assumption, but it's the best theory that I've been able to come up with. :)
