Tissues? Don't use the ones with lotion on them. If you have any of the little cloths that you use for cleaning glasses those work good.

I have just a regular matte Dell screen and it accumulated a lot of crap on it.

If you have a flat microfiber floor mop (like this http://www.homedepot.ca/wcsstore/Ho...og/bc256641-432f-4ac0-8a88-9e1250c2f21d_4.jpg) make sure the cloth is microfiber.

Go over to a sink wet your hand and then rub it on the cloth and do that a couple times, it should be slightly moist but not very wet at all. then very gently with little to no pressure rub it back and forth across your screen, in a minute or two it should be clean (just let the pressure of the rag clean for you.

You could do the same with a microfiber glasses cloth or any soft cleaning cloth.

Tissues? You are better off cleaning your screen with wood. Tissues are pretty much microscopic wood flakes and have potential to scratch your screen. Use cloth, not kitchen towels, not tissues, you should be using cloth. Even your shirt will work better than tissues.

Buy a microfiber cloth. The ones for glasses are adequate and are usually 5-10 dollars. Moisten it just a little bit and wipe it gently across your screen.

I just use the cloth from glasses too since I have quite a few lying around. They seem to work fine although sometimes I end up pushing the dust into the edges where it's hard to get out.

A bit off topic, but I'd be interested in finding out how to clean the speaker grills. I'm not sure if I should just spray compressed air in there. Seems like it would just be shooting stuff into the computer.

contrary to popular believes the speaker grill is almost completely sealed off. there is only a very small (less than 2cm) of round cut out in the speaker grill for the light sensor, that is not sealed..

airman has a high resolution photo of the macbook pro inards.

ummm guys, do u think its okay just to use cotton cloth (like from t-shirt) and dampen it with warm water?
