What's the BEST way to clean the glossy MBPRO screens? I've got kitty cat prints on it...

I just use a microfibre cloth, like ones used for glasses.

Wipe with dry microfiber cloth to get the dust off, then wet it to wipe the sticky stuff and smaller dust

i recommend picking one up at OfficeDepot, should be $3-$6 3M Microfiber cloth, grey, also, OfficeDeopts screencleaner has worked very well for me as well, Two Large bottles, that have lasted me atleast 2.5 years.

just keep the cloth clean, only use it for your screen, and you should be golden.

Doesn't your Mac come with a display cleaning cloth? My MacBook came with one...

I think they started coming with one later on. My May 2007 one didn't have a cleaning cloth.

hands down the best thing to use is the screen cleaning set from monster cable company. its 20 bucks. it provides years of clean screens on laptops , tv's , and any other screen you can think of.

Yea personally I have a bottle of the monster cleaner. I didn't actually buy it, my mom did so don't yell at me for purchasing monster products :)

Anyways, that stuff is amazing, it really cleans a screen super well glossy or matte. The microfiber cloth that comes with it is also really good. I've used it to clean my screen and also remove scratches from my Ipod using brasso. Kind of stained now but it still works great.

I read this thread through several fat finger smudgies and decided to open up my Macbook box. The microfiber cloth was in there, folded up to the size of a cd so it could fit in the grey box with the Leopard disk, etc. I decided to clean my screen right away and the smudgies are gone! Thanks for bringing this up!

I recommend Monster ScreenCleaner. Leaves no marks after, comes with a cloth and will last a long time.

I see you are also a Penryn user. Inside the grey box with the cd's you never (should) need, there is a shiny plastic square about the size of a cd sleeve. It is in there with the Everything Mac grey box and the Everything Else grey box. Peel back the plastic and there is a very nice microfiber cloth inside. :)

You guys just inspired me to clean my 9 month old iPhone. Not a mark on it! After cleaning it for the first time in the last few months (everything, glass Apple logo, Aluminum, screen, and the area around the screen) it looks as good as it did when I bought it. One of the reasons I've always wanted a MBP, Apple's build quality!

I was in the Apple Store and they had Monster Cleaner, as far as I remember but I went next door to the "normal" computer shop and got some standards wipes for the LCD screens (30% of the Monster's price). Works for me!

This stuff is brilliant, $15 for 4 Oz bottle and cleaning cloth. Cleans off every single bit of scum on my screen easily. My Macbook is nearly 3 months old (and the Penryn MB's came out a month afterwards.... grr!), and the screen is still spotless!

I second Monster ScreenClean. By far the best stuff out of at least four other brands we've tried.
