I'm using Leopard, and just want to know is there a way to scale the background image of a finder window. I can change it to a picture I want, but only see the top left corner.

Maybe edit the image with software such as Photoshop? I'm not too sure myself, I leave my Finder window backgrounds white :D.

Hahaha, well, this week when I see a mate's sister, I'll ask her how she seemed to do it perfectly with his MBP. See plastered ecchi pictures all over his new Mac.
