    Cant Get rid of a file! Help!

    Hi I was trying uninstall WVM player flipmac thing i downloaded and i got everything in trash but 2 plug ins wont go away and its really bugging me. When i try to empty trash it says flip4mac wmv is in use even though i know its not! Anyway to override this?

    do a spotlight search and get rid off those files. as for if its not in use, press cmd+option+esc and see if its there, if it is then force quit it. or open up activity monitor and see if its open.

    I had a few items in the trash which said they were in use when they weren't (jpgs). But I after I tried rebooting the macbook and emptying the trash again it worked ok.
