Wait until the retail version hits the streets.
-
I already got it it's called
OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion Golden Master -
Have you tried ignoring the error and examining the USB drive itself? You may find that the restore was fine, and the only error was the error itself.
Boot from the restored drive and test it by installing ML to a blank external drive. -

The gold master is not the retail version.
-
in the good old days... a GM version was the same as the release, but that is not the case today when they no longer send things off to print, and its all done electronically.

you could try the Serial Serveur » Lion DiskMaker (US)
its supposed to work with the GM ML -

Thing is I have ESD.dmg that is 10.7.x.x OS X version and that image was fine restored on 8GB Sony M2 and Installed sucessfully

Well, you're running a developer preview release of an operating system on a 6 year old computer. I'd suggest waiting for the retail release (or even give a month or so after the initial release - bugs continue to be worked out after release as well) and/or upgrading your hardware to something a bit more modern.

I heard people that system lags since 10.7 and snow leopard is fine
I'll install 10.6 and will see
Guys wanted ask how do i get into bios? Or how do i reset computer properly?
Because when I reinstalled system before It remembered previous user email addres login and account name ? WTH?
How do i reset mac pro that will behave like never used?
Thnx -
Sounds like you didn't install things properly... especially if its finding old info...
I've used Lion on 3 different laptops personally, and none had any speed issues... I've been running Mountain Lion for a couple of weeks and it also has no speed issues... I don't know where you get all this info about people saying that 10.7 lags and 10.6 is fine, I've not experienced or heard any such thing... when it comes to Macs. I have heard of that with Hackintoshes, but what can you expect when your hacking it. -
Meant to quote post.

the developers pay for apple 100 bucks a year. -
You could have gotten ML devel previews and GM for free, but that was only through AppleSeed. AppleSeed is an invite only program sent to apple IDs of people who they seem to want to trust to help, you cannot request to be in it. Buy a ton of Apple hardware all registered with the same ID, and do a lot of work in the discussion boards, etc... and you may get an AppleSeed invite to test things.

There's a small chance rEFI will work, but a much larger one that it won't.

rEFIt should work fine on macs without USB booting support. You can also create a windows USB installer using the boot camp utility (in OS X) on these systems just by changing a single file, basically adding your system to the "supported systems" list. You'll need to use google for the details, and you'll still need to use rEFIt of course to actually boot. The built in utility to create the USB disk is extremely helpful. The process to create the USB installer is quite a PITA otherwise.

Wish rEFIt would work under wndows.. -

While wiping OS X from the hard drive completely (to replace with windows) is certainly possible, it's not recommended for a variety of reasons. Certain updates are only possible in OS X, drivers for windows are available for download in the boot camp utility in OS X, some mac specific utilities are only available in OS X (even if they may be related to other operating systems, like rEFIt, as you've just discovered). There are other reasons as well.
Good luck.
To other users, I strongly recommend getting something other than a mac if you intend to run windows exclusively, because you can get similar hardware at a dramatically lower cost, AND you can get a better experience at the same time in terms of software support (in particular: drivers and firmware) -
I dunno.. if someone has that much problem with a Mac, they might want to find something more simple than Windows...
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
Well, using windows on a normal computer would be less complicated than trying to run it on a mac, especially after wiping OS X from the hard drive. That's my whole point.
