    Hey guys,

My default download manager is speed download lite. Today, interestingly SDL started showing growl notiications whenever the download is started or finished and I wanted to cancel this by going to the prefrences panel but it was not there. This never happened before but started noticing it after I installed drop box and the GLIMS safari plugin.

Does any one know if there is a way to cancel this growl notification?

    thanks in advance

Hey mate, sure no worries. Basically, this is going to sound really idotic, but worked none the less.

Prior to installing dropbox I actually disabled all growl notifications since i preferred it that way. But after the app was installed I allowed IT to show growl notifications and what this did was (wierdly enough) enable all growl notifications for some of the other apps that have the growl notification option available. Then i found that the app actualyl installed a growl notification tab in system preferences

Solution: All i had to do was to go to system preferences and then choose growl and then disable (aside from drop box) the notifications for the other apps. This solved it.

But like I said its realyl stupid of me to not to try this first, but like i said in a previous thread im still learning when it comes to the mac. :D
