I have a Macbook, one of the newer models and I have a dvd stuck in the DVD drive (open whole design, not disk tray). Every time the laptop is opened it makes the sound as if it's trying to eject the disk although it goes on for longer than it usually would with a disk eject. I've tried pressing the eject button (durr), and using eject from within programs such as itunes, but usually it just makes the noise and the disk doesn't come out.

    Thanks for any help.

Is this a rented DVD? Like with those adhesive labels stuck on top.

Try restarting the Macbook with the eject key held down all the time.

Wooo, nice to hear that. So do you think the same thing will happen again? Actually I have the feeling that one of my discs will stuck inside the slot loading drive some day....Also the eject button just isn't working for me, what about yours?

Also holding down the mouse button during restart also force ejects the disk.
