Can the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M handle Counter Strike Source? It's the only game I play. I can't justify $500+ to get the MBP just to play CSS. My older MBP (gen 2006) is on its way out so need a new laptop soon.

It should get 40-60FPS easily at medium settings. When you are setting up the game, bump the resolution down from native, as well as bump the recommended settings down one notch in-game and you should have no issues. Use the command "net_graph 3" in console to determine your FPS, etc. to tweak your video configuration. If you wish, slightly overclock it and monitor your temps, this will yield even better results.

If you already have the game, why not try it? :D
    I don't know about CSS, but I know Battlefield 1942 plays great on the x3100! :D I'm a happy camper. :D

EDIT: I seem to remember reading somewhere that CSS plays fine on it.

What new battlefield? CoD5 just came out yesterday so you might have to wait for someone to see how it runs, But i doubt it will run good.

The 9400m should handle BF2 and BF2142 just fine.

I'm gonna guess that the new MacBook should be able to play cod5 at low settings and resolution.
