    Calibrating MBP battery...

    Can someone tell me how can I calibrate my battery??? I read somewhere that its good to calibrate it every like 30 cycles.

    Essentially, you charge it completely, then use up all of the battery, then charge it completely again.

    i dont really recommend you do this often though. its bad for the battery, its just if you want to squeeze a bit of battery life, if you notice that the battery charge indicator doesnt show the correct level (you have a feeling that the battery uptime should be more).

    i would just recommend you do a deep discharge cycle. use up your battery until the notebook went to force-sleep, or just to around 3-5% would be enough.

    I calibrate my battery every 6 months or so, not too often, but just enough to keep the readings accurate. ;)

    i leave my laptop mainly on charge because this helps in maintaining my battery health.

    I do too. When it is on my desk, it is always plugged in. It only has 13 cycles on it, and I got it for Christmas 2008. :p

    WOW thats great! I got mine last november and used it plenty till january. i have 151 cycles. But i have stopped using it on battery for some time.
