    Hey guys,

I'm considering picking up one of the older Core Duo Macbooks to save a few bucks over the new C2Ds. Is there a big performance gap between the two? I'm planning on using the laptop for virtual DJing using the Conectiv interface and the Torq program by M-audio.

    Justin.

Just to add a little more, if you are considering the base MacBook, it uses the low end C2D with only 2MB of cache. The performance increase will not be significant in that case. If you are looking at one of the faster MacBook the difference will be greater, but not a ton.

Interesting. I'll keep that in mind while shopping for other notebooks as well.
