I'm so frustrated. No matter what songs I burn onto a CD on my macbook pro, the first two tracks are always defective (it won't play on iTunes). On every single bloody CD. It doesn't matter if I change the songs. And once I take it out and put it back in, the computer doesn't even recognize the bloody thing and it just spits it back out. I tried it on my sister's macbook and it still won't play. It won't play on my car stereo. I'm frankly very disappointed.

    My laptop's a macbook pro, core 2 duo late 2006-early 2007 version.

    well thats odd..

I don't burn CDs anymore since I live with my iPhone, but back when I did, I remember having a similar issue yours reminded me of. The first 1 2 or 3 songs were messed up when i burnt CDs, after trying like 10, I tried it on a different machine and the same thing happened... I threw away the Discs, bought better quality ones, and it worked fine with those...

not sure if your issue is the discs, but it just reminded me of that...

Ok. I'll try better quality CD's and let you know. These are the HP ones I picked up for cheap.

Try burning at a much slower speed eg 2-4X. If you have crappy media then it won't be able to handle the higher speeds as well. Also make sure you not bumping the laptop a lot during the burning.
