What a joke and people are beginning to catch on and no I don't watch their product events but read the recap. So all the hype and there was even a rumored tease "one more thing". The event passed and in a nutshell what was announced was a new budget iPad, which uses the A10 Fusion chip, my 6th gen uses the A10 chip so not worth the upgrade. Slightly larger screen, again no big deal if you own the previous model.

Apple Watch 5, screen on all the time....whoopie !

New iPhone's which basically are the same as last year with an updated CPU/GPU and triple camera and "night mode". Yay for innovation, Tim !

Apple TV+ which is where Apple is heading towards, i.e. services which is actually priced reasonably at $4.99 if their TV Shows happen to be good and if you buy a new Apple device you get 1 year of Apple TV+ service for free but there's a catch. You need to cancel the automatic billing the day before the year is up because if you cancel automatic billing prior to the year, you also will lose any remaining time on the free 1 year offer. In other words, if you cancel three months in, you'll lose 9 months of free service. Cancel one day before, you lose just one day before the monthly fee of $4.99 starts to kick in.

There's a rumor on Appleinsider.com that Apple will begin to offer Apple Care + for the life of the device i.e. iPhone and Watch until Apple decides it's classified as vintage. There's your innovation, squeezing more blood out of the turnip.

And that's basically the extent of the innovation, thank you for watching. In the words of Inigo Montoya who said: "You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means"

It's one thing to start a discussion but this is just bashing and turns off anyone who might want to do otherwise.
